Craps
|

Craps is a thrilling game played on a large action-packed table offering a variety of betting options on the layout.
Each bet is dependent on the total of the two dice on every roll. One player is the "shooter" and throws the pair of dice.
The game is divided into two parts: the start of a new game (called the "Come Out Roll") and the middle of a game.
It is helpful to note, the Dealers place the hockey sized pucks "Off" (black) when it is the start of a new game,
and place these pucks "On" (white) when in the midst of an ongoing game.
Pass Line:
The primary, basic bet of all craps games. ANY Player may bet on the Pass Line, not just the Shooter.
* On a "Come Out Roll" (the start of a new game):
Wins on a roll of 7 or 11 (a ''natural''). Lose on "craps": 2 or 3 or 12. Any other number becomes the Player''s Point
and the Dealer''s turn the puck "On" that number. The pass line is then in the midst of a game, and the second part
of the game begins.
* Once a Point is established (and the pucks turn "On" [white]), wagers on the pass line win when the shooter rolls
that particular number (the Point) again before a 7 is rolled. If a seven is rolled prior to the point being made,
the Shooter "seven''s out" and the Pass Line wagers lose; whereupon, the dice move to the next clockwise Player.
Come Bets:
The Come bet is identical to the Pass Line wager, but it is made during the game (after the point is established -
and the puck says "On"). Just like the Pass Line, the Come bet wins on it''s first roll of 7 or 11 and loses on craps
(2, 3 or 12). Any other number that comes up, the wager moves to that numbered box and is betting on that number to
come up again before a seven is thrown.
Odds:
This is also known as "backing up" your bet. Once a point is made (on either Pass Line or any Come bet) a player
is allowed to make additional money by ''taking odds'' in another wager. Odds bets are paid based on the true
mathematical probability of each number compared to a 7. They win or lose if the Pass line or Come bet they are
accompanying win or lose. All odds bests may be removed or reduced at any time by asking the Dealer. The payouts
on Odds are shown below. Pass Line and Come bet Odds are always OFF on the come out roll unless designated
specifically otherwise by a Player. These Odds Bets is the ONLY bet in a Casino where there is absolutely no
''house advantage'' inherent money wagered on the Odds.
Place Bets:
Any time after the point is established (during the middle of a game when the Puck is "On") you may directly choose
to bet on a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10. These wagers will pay each time that number is rolled. These bets will lose on a 7.
Place bets are "odds" bets and may be increased, decreased, or taken down at any time during the game.
POINT: Maximum Odds Bet allowed "True" ODDS: Place Bet Odds Payouts:
6 or 8 Up to 5x the Pass Line or Come bet Pays $6 for every $5 bet Pays $7 for every $6 bet
5 or 9 Up to 4x the Pass Line or Come bet Pays $3 for every $2 bet Pays $7 for every $5 bet
4 or 10 Up to 3x the Pass Line or Come bet Pays $2 for every $1 bet Pays $9 for every $5 bet
(True Odds are what the Pass Line and Come Bet odds pay)
The Field:
This is a wager that can be bet on any roll. If any of: 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12 come up you win. If a number
not on the list rolls you lose. Even money payoff except for 2 which pays double, and 12 which pays triple.
Hardways:
Hardway bets on 4, 6, 8 or 10 are in the Center of the table and are placed by the Dealer. May bet on any roll.
You win if the number bet on rolls as a pair. You lose if the number comes up in a different combination than a pair
(as shown) or if a 7 is rolled.
Don''t Pass Line and Don''t Come:
These bets are the exact reverse of the Pass Line and Come bets. They are betting against the shooter in the long
run. On the Come Out Roll of these "Don''t" bets a 7 or 11 makes them lose, whereas a 2 or 3 win (a 12 is a push and
no one wins). Then, once they are against a specific point, they must have a 7 rolled to win, prior to that number coming up.
